Wheels Of Yesteryear 2010Sunday 4th JulyOnce again our annual event will be a Roadrun from the Scottish Mining Museum to Lennoxlove House with a stop at Glenkinchie Distillery. The route will be given out on the day, but there will be different country routes for light vehicles and motor cycles, and another route more suited to the commercials. Please remember we will have to cap entry numbers to 80 and regrettably may need to decline some. Full catering and toilet facilities will be available at the start and finish, and coffee/tea will be available at Glenkinchie. The tour of the distillery is entirely optional, but we hope anyone who has not been there before will take advantage of it. There will be other stalls, crafts etc at Lennoxlove House and hopefully some miniature steam as well. The judging will be done at Lennoxlove House, but obviously the fact the vehicles have driven in will be taken into account. Tractors etc will be started from a location near to Haddington, to do a shorter local loop, but the detail of this will depend on the numbers interested. Cycles will hopefully start from a site within the Lennoxlove estate, and the run will be to the usual VCC standard. Please arrive at the SMM by 10am as vehicles will be departing between 10 and 11am. If you need space for unloading a large vehicle, it would be useful for us to know in advance to arrange the area. Fuel is available at Tesco, 2 miles north, and Shell 1/2 mile to the South, on the A7. Please remember that we are organising this event at our own expense as we will not be able to charge the public for viewing and we are dependent on the goodwill of these venues to be able to have a Run at all. Please do not contact Lennoxlove House directly as they will not have information. Click below to download an Entry Form |
